Request Changes?

Is it possible to request that the medicine cabinet NOT be installed on a new unit? We liked that the 2015 Montana High Countrys had just a mirror above the sink and the medicine cabinet was in the linen closet adjacent to the sink. But the 2016 models appear to have moved the linen closet next to the toilet and added a medicine cabinet over the sink. I hit my head every time while brushing my teeth and would prefer to have a recessed unit or just a mirror instead. I just emailed Keystone about it while asking about touring the plant when our unit is on the line. I would prefer them to just leave it in the floor and cap off the wire nuts for the lights. Any thoughts?

People special order trailers all the time I believe. Generally takes longer to be made because the run the line four all the same and could possibly hold special orders until they get enough to make it worthwhile for them. You would think it would be as easy as this one does not get a cabinet but I don't think they think it that way but I hope they do for you. Good luck.

Not sure if they will do it or not, but many times they charge extra for an item delete. To me that is backwards since it's cheaper to leave an item out, but I guess for them it's an extra cost due to extra production time to slow down and custom make the unit.

You could always have the dealer modify it before delivery. Or do it yourself if you are a little handy. Ask your dealer.

It will be interesting to hear their reply. I know changes like this aren't just a simple matter of just saying to somebody to leave the cabinet out. It means changing the blueprints and computer programing that spells out the instructions. I toured another plant once and could see how everything flows along according the computerized instructions. A custom change means changing the whole process.

Well its not the end of the world if they cant do it. I just didn't want holes in the wall that I have to cover up, but that's OK. I haven't heard back from them about it but I will post if I do.
