Wife wanted to stop......

You all know how the story goes, let's just stop and look she says....

Well I am not overly motivated to move up but we will wait and see, unfortunately the three she liked the most are all forest river products. Three different dealers, all used to have a healthy supply of keystone, each had a some TT but no fifth wheels. The forest river products were 3 to 1 on the lots, I asked why and they stated that forest river was much more aggressive in their pricing with the same build quality.

Columbus 385bh
Primetime 360bhs
Salem Hemisphere 356qbq

Reason why I say unfortunately, I really like this forum, most active I have ever been on a forum and you guys have done more to build my brand loyalty then keystone itself ever did.

We looked at a Columbus pretty seriously before buying our Alpine. The dealer just would not go down in price enough to seal the deal. I had two complaints, it didn't have a drop frame so the basement storage was limited and the build quality just wasn't the same. Okay I'll admit it was $7k cheaper than the Alpine, but NADA value was $20k less....so $7k wasn't enough to sway me.

I bought a new Forest River 5er but traded it after 6 months for a new Keystone laredo. Big quality difference throughout.

I am a keystone fan, but at this time we are very close to signing on the dotted line on a 2015 Sandpiper 30IOK. The dealer is new and has put a lot of care into the units on their lots. They were spotless and not so much as a nail out of place couple be found.

Very mixed at this time.

PS if I get it, will lie and say I still have my sprinter to stay around.

I was a Very happy keystone owner and now I am a very happy Jayco owner and I am still on this forum almost everyday. The way I see it is we are all just a bunch of campers wanting to talk to and help other campers. Good luck on your decision.

As an update we are 90% sure we are going to take it. The owner of the dealership invited my wife and I out to their lot where they use the same camper. My wife was able to see the camper in full use and the size of everything loaded up and she is hooked. That's the 90%' I only make up the 10% which will miss the propane stove in the outdoor kitchen. The new one has a nice outdoor kitchen but no propane burners, only BBQ. I can add a Coleman easily enough.

Had a rock wood that we bought brand new. Had it 18 months and traded it in for a new Laredo 303Tg. Much better quality. Has been great so far. All little things so far that I took care of myself. I hope you enjoy whatever you decide to buy.

I am going to need to check out those camp chefs. It is with mixed emotion that I will be leaving the keystone family, although like I posted I will be keeping the Sprinter 266 in my sig so I don't get booted from the site

Signed the papers tonight and take ownership of a Sandpiper 30IOK in the am. Hauling it with the ram dually, thinking it will be every bit of 14000pds loaded up.

New to 5th wheels so back to learning.

Your gonna love the way a 5er tows and backs.

I have a camp chef 3 burner, the griddle, BBQ box and stand alone oven. I try NOT to cook at all inside.

I am looking forward for the first haul tomorrow and hope hauling it will be enjoyable. My first set up was just terrible, 25ft camper with a jeep liberty Second setup not bad but found it took a lot out of me, the 266 with a ram 1500, 3rd was the 266 with the dually and it was awesome. Hope this is the same.

With the outside kitchen all cooking is outside, warmed up some chicken wings once once inside, that was it in 3yrs cooking inside.

Enjoy and report back!
Did you remember to get a lube plate so you don't have to grease the horse shoe?

NOPE, or at least I do not think so. I do not get the hitch installed and pick up until tomorrow, what is it?
