Why the last trip?? We camp all year round in Oregon. Mostly at the coast in the winter. New Port or Lincoln City (Cape Kiwanda)

Not quite retired and our side of the hill gets the snow. Not the funest time pulling any trailer

Yeah, we returned from a 2 week trip to Pigeon Forge, TN yesterday and put the RV in the shop this morning. We were on the road for 9 months this year so we needed a few things fixed. Pigeon Forge was crazy busy. I had no idea it was such a tourist meca, especially in October with the fall colors. We’ll be back on the road in January. Now if I could just remember where all the stuff is in my house

Got it. We live in the Willamette Valley (Albany) and have a bit milder weather.

We are scheduled to be in Cherokee (nearby PF) for the week of Thanksgiving, hope the crowds are a bit thinner by that time. With summer gone, and businesses reopening, everyone playing nice with masks and distancing, our camping season has started, for us anyway.

In "years past" we always looked forward to camping/traveling after Labor Day, when all the schools were open and most families were "stuck at home doing school things"... Back then, campgrounds were usually "close to empty" with only a few "old farts" (usually much less noise) using them....

This year, I've seen a marked increase in younger families camping since Labor Day. I suppose the school closings, work from home and closed businesses have "released a lot more camping families" over what we saw in 2019 and before.....

We've more or less given up on travel this fall and will try to "start the year off fresh" in 2021.....

It isn’t always snow covered and there a couple state parks that stay open on that side.

Love Honeyman SP. We used to have a sand rail and would head there for some sand dune recreation.

We are going to try and get to Cape Kiwanda next month for a short camping trip (if the weather cooperates)

Beachside is great also.

Billy Chinook is a great place also. Used to go there a lot when we had a boat.

Retirement dream is traveling west coast...y'all have some awesome scenery out there.

Always sad closing it up for winter. We shut it down Sunday. Nice looking combo BTW.

Season is officially over for us. Snow in the valley last Sunday and only 15 degrees yesterday. The Cougar is drained and cover on for the winter.
Due to some family health issues, this season was not as full and varied as we had originally planned. That said, Cape Kiwanda was beautiful this summer.
We'll try to make up for lost time next season

We also have a last trip planned for Thanksgiving. 9 days near family. The campground should be pretty deserted and quiet. We haven't traveled much the later half of summer. We bought some property, a Montana 5ver and have been working on that. I broke my hand, and the my dh broke 3 ribs. I am really looking forward to this trip.

We are planning to go to CK after Thanksgiving, if the weather cooperates...………

The last time we were at CK we had a motorhome and a Jeep. This will be the first trip with the TT.

Just starting

On the other hand our Rving season is just starting. When the sn*w begins to remind us that COLD is coming to South Dakota it's time to prep the 5er and set sights on the "southlands". We plan on a nice slow trip down mostly back roads ending up at Quartzsite's LaPosa South.
