Cougar 297res satellite prep issue

Please help. Thanks. I am trying to connect a dish network receiver in the entertainment area. I can run the coax cable directly thru the outside door to the receiver and I got the dish network activated and working fine. When I connect the coax cable from the Winegard carry out antenna to the satellite prep connector on the water connectors area the dish network receiver doesn't find the Winegard connector. Are the two short cable connectors behind the tv to be used for satellite connections from the satelitte prep area? If so where is this documented.

I found on my 246rls that the coax at the outside input was not the same coax at the sat/cable input in the unit. I found that the coax from the outside was connected to one of the two outlets below the sat/cable input. I switched cables and now have a direct connection. Good luck

On our 327 we traded in the bottom connection on the small loop cable went directly to the outside connection, on another 327 I know about it was the top connection, take your pick. Good Luck.. Happy Campin.............Ron

I would do a search in the technical section on this subject. This has been discussed several times and there are numerous replies to this issue.

Here is just one resolution to the satellite signal issues.
