Adding a fridge Fan - Push or pull

We also camp in hot weather. Arizona and southern Utah. I have two fans pushing air in at the bottom and two pushing out at the top. I also installed a “fridge defend” all in all it has helped a lot. I also made a shade the frame out of PVC pipe that I can take apart and store that I strap a white trap to. If you want more detailed info PM me. Hope this helps

Haha, you are correct! Anything that has "hobby" or "Recreation" in the name is a money pic. I used to have four 4-wheelers, then one day I said that's enough, and sold them all and got one UTV. My grown up kids said why? I said because I do all maintenance, tires, loading, unloading, cleaning, registration, etc. It was a great burden taken off my head.

You want to increase the natural hot air rising.
Cooler air comes in the bottom and exits out the top.

I'll take a stab for this regarding blowing vs exhausting fans: A fan blowing will create more turbulence for mixing and is therefore better for carrying away heat.

On our last unit (SOB) the refer was in the slide and after having to replace the absorption unit added fans. Added two at the top to draw air out and these were linked with the factory one. I added two at the bottom vent to bring air in. These were on a switch and used when the air temps got high.

I have been thinking about installing a fan to help fridge also. Just wondering how much power they use? We only boondock and run on batteries only. I have 300 watts of solar charging batteries and works just fine, but we also watch what we use and how much. Just thinking about another fan in there running all the time draining my batteries.

Depends upon the fan. Each fan should a watt rating either on a lable or in the advertisement.

The fans I used pull .33 amps each. Cooler Guy's have the same size fan that only draws .13 amps, but are twice the price of the ones I used. We rarely boondock, but I have 200 watts of solar and four 6 volt golf cart batteries just in case.
