That is the condensation drain AND, it drains water from the drip tray under the refrigerator fins, through the back of the insulated rear wall, down that tube and out of the trailer interior.
Quite often, the upper end of that tube will be pulled off the fitting on the drip tray and the condensation will not drain through the tube, but drain "around the tube" and onto the floor of the refrigerator cabinet, behind the refrigerator. When this happens, all that water can damage or rot the cabinet, causing significant problems, usually not found until after the warranty expires.....
The tube can easily be pulled off the drip tray during trailer assembly, PDI, or just from removing the lower vent panel, through which the drain in attached.
The hose is fragile, will split easily (and leak readily) if it's damaged. With skinny forearms, you can usually "snake your way to the upper connection" and reattach the hose. And, that plastic cap in the end of the drain tube is needed. DO NOT REMOVE IT.... It helps insulate the "open space inside the tube that connects the hot outside air to the refrigerator interior keeping moisture and heat away from your food, but more importantly, the holes help prevent insects from getting up the hose and inside your refrigerator. There's just enough "standing water buildup" created by those little holes to keep a small "pool of water" in the cap, preventing both hot outside air and bugs at bay.....
