Water Pump Cabinet Mod

Our water pump is located next to our bed and extends out from where our pass-through is boxed out, so getting in & out of bed and making the bed was even harder on that side of the bed.

My project was to redesign the Water Pump cabinet next to our bed so I could make it a step to get in and out of bed easier with our taller mattress. And while I had things apart, I upgraded my water pump to a stronger, quieter pump. My original pump seemed to be getting louder, I could hear it more than a campsite away when it kicked on...

Before and after pictures...

That's a great idea! I have yet to locate the access on my current rig but my last trailers I actually carried a spare water pump where access wasn't bad to get to them. I never thought about the noise factor, just kinda lived with it.

So its been a few years since you've modified the box into a step, are you still happy with it?

The modification was done this year and I am happy with it.

A few years ago I sound proofed the original cabinet but I didn't cut it down to make it a step until this year.
