Talking Newbie to RVing

Greetings from one of the Southern Hot states. We have wanted an RV for 25 years and finally took the chance and purchased one at the end of June 2022. We purchased a 2020 Keystone Springdale 298BH. We call it our Covid RV, made during Covid, barely used because of Covid. It looks and even smells brand new. We are towing it with my 2000 Ford 7.3 Diesel. We are excited to learn. We are not new to camping, but this is an upgrade from our tent. I have plenty of experience towing trailers. We have a ranch/farm so I have a cattle trailer, a 16 ft flatbed trailer, a 12 ft enclosed motorcycle trailer and various other trailers for farm use both for truck and tractor. I hope my 30 years of experience towing other items will help tow our 33 ft RV. Our first trip is already booked and most everything YouTubers said to buy we bought, LoL just kidding. We have spent a few grand on getting this rig ready. Hopefully things will go smoothly.

Welcome to the forum and "glamping" in an RV!! I promise it beats a tent.

Lots of friendly, helpful folks here that are more than willing to share their knowledge and experiences. Be aware that everything you see on youtube won't give you what you need and probably a lot of stuff you don't need. Pull a chair up to the fire, shoot the breeze and see if we can help you get sorted out.

From Utah! DW had to beat me into replacing our tent with an RV. I'm a slow learner
Best thing we ever did. Enjoy your Springdale and use it often

Yep, Tift, co. Moved here last year from No. GA. Bought a small farm. Btw, I too am prior Air Force, my AFSC was Chapel Manager. I was part of the 502ABW, AND 3800th ABW out of Montgomery, Al. We supported Air War College, ATC. I did a stent at Keesler, AFB and brief tours at Elgin and Tyndall.

Welcome to south Georgia and thank you for your service. I am near Vidalia Ga. I was at Keesler AFB for Air Traffic Control school in '77.

Congrats on your new Springdale! Our 2nd travel trailer was a Springdale. No slides, but 31 feet long. Had it for 8 years. Hope you have many happy and successful trips with yours. Again, Congrats!
