Chipmunk damage while camping

For some reason Keystone left a 6”x7” hole in the plastic under covering underneath the gray/black tank. A chipmunk got up inside and decided to eat some wires and the heating ductwork.
Has anyone ever removed the plastic underside of their RV. I’m waiting to remove it to replace the ductwork with some rigid ducting, along with some flexible ducting going to the heater itself.
Thank you very much for your help and support.
Paul

Did you buy the trailer new? If not I’m thinking someone cut the hole to replace waste tank valves/seals. The factory would have screwed a cover in place or cut on 3 sides to make a flap.

I have dropped the underbelly cover on more trailers than I can remember. Start at one end and alternate sides every couple screws.

i don’t think i’d use rigid ductwork..if you use adjustable sheet metal ells they will probably snap off from hitting bumps on the road..you can buy foil wrapped insulated duct but i believe that some of the basement is heated thru radiation with the uninsulated ductwork..that’s part of the heated underbelly option.

flex duct is expensive right now …or at least it was a few months ago …almost double the cost ..because of …uh…just because

Atwood GC6AA-10E water heater

While camping we got a chipmunk into the area where the water heater in located. It scratched through the wires bundle (pink/orange/brown/white). I repaired the bundle but I’m not getting power to both gas/electric switches inside the trailer. And of course no hot water both with gas/electric. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you for your help and support.

I went am removed the power panel and found a 5 Amp fuse burned out. Once I replaced it all worked fine. Thank you very much for your help and support.

Plus, I think that once you get the coroplast off the bottom of your trailer, look at the location of the tanks, the floor vents and the wiring that's run through the crossmembers, around tanks, over reinforcement beams and other "construction design items", you'll see how "nearly impossible" it is to try to run anything "in a straight line" in the belly, much less trying to run two or three "rigid heat duct sections" through the triangular holes in the crossmembers....

Once you lay on a creeper under your trailer with the belly open for inspection, you'll quickly change your mind about anything "rigid" being installed and connecting to anything else in there.....

After hearing from you and others, I'm reevaluating installing rigid ducting. Thank you for your help and support.
