Outside grill as part of the outside kitchen. Hooked propane hose to grill, but it would not light either with the click starter or propane lighter. Is there a propane gate somewhere on the line, perhaps by the bottles?

You should have a t handle where the hose plugs in. It needs to be “in line” with the fitting to allow propane to flow. Depending on where the OS kitchen is in relation to the cylinders it can take a while for the line to bleed off all the air.

The propane quick disconnect on the trailer should have a metal valve stem/handle on it. The valve has to be off to disconnect or connect the hose. Then, you have to turn the valve on to get gas flow. You'll need to turn the valve on before the stove will light. Note that the valve may be "damaged" and the valve handle may be missing, in which case, if you can insert the hose fitting to connect to the quick disconnect, the gas is turned off and without the handle, you can't turn it on. That means you'll need to replace the entire fitting.

Before you start ordering parts, take a closer look at the fitting. Chances are you just can't easily see the handle.
