Adding shelves

I have some dead space in the corner below my cabinet. I'd like to screw into the under side of the cabinet on the framing of it, however, I know that there is wiring somewhere in there because the panel is hollow between the bottom and the actual inside of the cabinet itself. My under cabinet lighting fixtures are wired there. I've attached a pic to see the space. Anyone have any light weight suggestions, mods etc? I'd be very thankful!
