Microwave and TV

The microwave and TV won’t work unless I’m plugged in to a power source...is that normal or am I missing a switch? It’s a new 2020 243BHS

Unless you have an onboard generator no 110 volt items will operate without being plugged into a power source.

Also need to be plugged in to power source to keep batteries charged or they will be dead in a few days unless the negative cable is disconnected during storage.
The factory battery disconnect does not totally disconnect all parasitic drains.

I use a Honda 2000 watt inverter generator to power my trailer when I’m off grid. The generator will power the TV and microwave. It will also charge the battery.

If you have enough battery power, you can connect an inverter to the batteries. The inverter changes the 12v DC power to 120v AC power, so you can use the inverter to watch TV or other 120v items, depending on how much battery power you have and your inverter size.

For a little more money you can buy 2 of these Champion 2KW generators and the parallel kit.

I have the 3100 watt Champion inverter generator and it will start and run the 15K BTU AC unit in my camper.

I am going on my 5th season with it and have had zero issues.

If you look around now is the time the Champions seem to come on sale.
