Battery Recommendation
It is time to replace the battery in my rig. It is a single 12v battery setup. What batteries are you all using that you have had good luck with? I do not do any boondocking and am almost always connected to shore power. Thanks.

If your not going to be dry camping, then any deep cycle battery will do. Lots of the dealers like to use interstate. A single group 24 will do the job. I would check prices at the auto parts store and Walmart too.

Walmart has a very liberal return policy and typically low prices. As Chuck stated any battery would do just to go from cg to cg with shore power.

I always used interstate batteries in the past with good luck, typically 5-6 years out of them. This last time I went with a Duracell from batteries + bulbs. Will see how it works out in a couple years. Since you’re not dry camping, pretty much anything will work, warranties are all prorated so paying extra for one with a longer warranty probably isn’t worth it. As for size, all you need is a 24. Its not a bad ideas to get whatever is easy to return at pretty much any location you end up. Walmart batteries most likely will top that list.

I agree with the 12v deep cycle battery. I always put in 2, well, just because. We don't dry camp any longer either. I use Interstates. I will say beware of Auto Zone and the Duralast? I keep my Jeep in the mountains and the batteries like to die pretty quick up there for some reason when it sits for a year or more. I had put in a Duralast Gold a couple of years back and decided to replace it this summer. Just ran to AutoZone, it was out of free replacement so just told them to give me another one like it. Didn't worry about price...it's AutoZone right? Brought it out, sat it on the counter and rang it up....$174.xx!! Doubt I'll look for another Duralast for a while.
