Furnace only kicks on with shore power

I have a 2016 Passport 2810BHWE and this is our third summer camping. This RV has never been able to run off the batteries alone through the night, even with a full charge. We had he stock interstate batteries tested and there was nothing wrong with them. Then we decided this year to get 2 deep cell batteries. It still will not ignite off of sole batter power with a full charge. As soon as we hook up shore power, it kicks right on. We have taken it in to a licensed dealer to have it evaluated and it still doesn’t work. Please help! This is very frustrating. I wondering if I need to change the thermostat?

It still sounds like you are having a low voltage issue with your batteries. Your furnace is 12v. Plugged in to shore power it is going through your converter providing the 12v power needed. Which has me suspecting a voltage issue from the batteries. Either them holding a charge, connections, ground, but I would suspect its a charging issue with the batteries. How are you ensuring they are fully charged? Have you tried a hydrometer?

What kind of deep cell batteries did you get?

How are they connected together? In parallel or in series?

What else is running on 12v side at night other than the furnace?

What's the ambient temp where you are?

Its the fan running that will kill the battery, not the furnace. If you have it set to on instead of auto the batteries won't last long.
