OTA Antenna

Just bought a 2002 Cougar 278RK. It has a Winegard batwing but the rod that goes through into the cabin is mangled and the lower crank and directional turning gizmo seem to be gone. You can raise/lower but not aim using vise grips on the mangled shaft.

I know that the higher the antenna the better but am kind of thinking about a King Jack directional (OA8400) or a Winegard Rayzar Z1 RZ-6000. Anybody have comments on which might be better. I like the idea of not cranking the antenna up and down and having to go up and lube things (which is probably why the Sensar lower assembly on my trailer died - for lack of lube).

I like the King Jack. They seem to work real good and easy install.
