equalizer vs e2

Am interested in equalizer 600lb/6000 lb WD/Sway control system. What is the difference between the e2 and regular equalizer system other than price?
any one have opinions?

gahanunda, Howdy;

Perhaps you might enlighten us as to what trailer you might want to tow (what size and how much does it weigh?), what type of Tow vehicle you are going to use. F-150, 250,350??? (or 1500 series, 2500 series), The more compleate the information you give us the better the suggestions we can make.

PS. Don't go for minimums get some cushon in there.

equalizer vs e2

My TV is 2005 f150 4.6L towing Passport 195RB dry weight 3820 lbs. Towed the TT 80 miles home from dealer with out a bit of sway but still want WD/sway control. The equalizer setup looked to me to be unit I wanted and found the Equalizer and e2 which are both made by same company. From what I can tell the e2 has a 2point sway control whereas the Equalizer has 4 point. Also difference in price. Being new to rv'ing I am intereseted in the difference. Will definetly go with best unit

Equalizer VS E2

equilizer E2

Have a equalizer E2 towed 1000 mi no problems no sway. Have not seen a report on this hitch.asked about it on another forum no one had any info about it. decided to try it any way. very happy with it no problems. towing a trail cruiser 26RKS with a F150. have 800 lb bars on hitch. easy to set up an hook up.

Found the above on www.ask.com

I had the Equalizer 4 point and LOVED it. Never a sway, at all; NADA...none.
Go cheap, be sorry. I retired amd moved to a fifth wheel. What a HUGE difference in ease of use.

The KEY to using Equalizer is get the tension right on the hitch. Once you have it; you basically use the same pin setting each time. At age 68; hitch was too much weight for me to lug on and off. Another great Equalizer plus; you can back up without making any adjustments.

I sold my used Equalizer 12,000 lb set in 2 days for what I paid used, 2 years prior.
