Changing Room

hello all -

Interested to know what people do to get changed in the camper; especially when it is not just the DW / DH and yourself.

There is about a 12" walking path along both sides of our queen bed with the Ent Center at the foot of the bed - and while i am not a , I am not a either.

I was thinking about maybe tieing something between the kitchen cabinet and slide and then hanging a curtain of some sort there.

Ideas?

Thanks!

I put up 3 hooks with command strips in the back of ours. One on the wall by the fridge, one on the opposite wall by the bunk and one on the wall against the bathroom door. For changing, a curtain goes between the fridge wall and bunk wall. For sleeping or when the "changing" room isn't necessary, the curtain swings over between the bunk wall and and the bathroom wall.

We have an accordion door - I can shut that. You can hang a shower curtain with rods in the doorways. This will give you privacy at night too.

great ideas.

i do have curtains in the doorway the problem i run into is being able to actually move in that little space that would be in the 'bedroom'.

i am liking the idea of the good ole command hooks though

Another option is to install a ceiling mounted shower curtain rod along the ceiling so you can "curtain off" a corner of the main room to "sort of make the bedroom bigger" for changing purposes. Then, once dressed, open the curtain against the slide molding for storage. All that would be "intruding" into the room is an aluminum molding attached to the ceiling.

If you look at your bath shower curtain, that's probably the way it's attached to the ceiling.

The space in our camper made with the curtain (opposite end from bedroom) is about 3' x 3'. The curtain makes a very nice changing room. I'll even leave the bathroom door open so there's more room after showering.

It is usually just the 2 of us and we use the bunk room to change in. If someone is camping with us it is the bathroom or we sit on the edge of the bed. Sometimes we close off the bunk room and we have the trailer to change in or as a last resort we tell the kids to turn around as we are changing. None of the shades get open until we are dressed for the day.

The wife has trained me to change in the bathroom. I always forget to put down the shades if I'm changing somewhere else.

Change in the bathroom or kick the guests out while you get changed

I had my dealer order me a matching curtain and ceiling track as the curtain that provides privacy around our bed on a 238ML. I mounted it between the bunk wall and the fridge. Gives plenty of privacy and makes it easier to dry off after showering. Looks like it was installed from the factory. Cost around $65 for everything.

When the bathroom door in the Cougar is opened all the way, it blocks off the view to the back of the trailer. To keep the pups from barging in and swinging the door open, we use a couple of wedge doorstops, one facing each way. When we are on the road, we use those same doorstops under the table to keep it from possibly shifting toward the middle of the trailer.
