Thinking about adding a FridgeCool fan

Noticed that the fridge (Domestic) inside our TT does not seem to cool evenly; items on the top shelf seem cooler than items on the bottom shelf, same left to right (one side colder than the other). The fridge seems to be working fine other than this, anyone else experience this? Checking around I ran across several different versions of this battery operated “FridgeCool Fan” http://valterra.com/product/fridgeco.../?pcat_id=1295
Seems like it might do the job of providing better circulation of the cooled air, assuming that this is the problem. Anybody else use one of these?

We use one, greatly helps in initial cooling down of fridge and providing uniform temperatures.

Started using battery operated fans last year,I was surprised how long the batteries last and helps to prevent stratification in side the box.

they really help with recovery- have been using one for 10 years. Runs for days on one battery.

all! Just wanted some confirmation before I bought one. I'm all into upgrades but still want to spend wisely!

Although I didn't choose the battery operated one but the one that plugs into your fridge light for power I must say it made a vast improvement on cooling. So much that I had my fridge at the highest setting before and after had to turn it down to keep it above freezing. Super easy mod with great results.

Just, is that the one with the blue led lights? Do/did you keep the original light operational or just leds?

Thinking about adding a FridgeCool fan

No it was just simply two small 12v fans in a frame that attached to the cooling fins. A wire was run to the light that ties into the light switch on the hot side. This makes the fan run all the time the fridge is on. The light remains operational as it was originally. I paid 13 bucks shipped to my door. Pretty simple in nature but makes a world of difference.

Hey cuffso54 just go to eBay and type in RV refrigerator fan and it should be one of the first ones listed. 13.50 shipped to your door. I received mine just days after ordering it. Works like a champ.

Have used one for years, well worth the money. Just returned from a 6400 mile trip and that little fan ran every day all day for three weeks. Wouldn't be without one. It will get two new D-cell batteries in a few days. Happy Campin....

Agreed, I bought one of these too AND IT WORKS GREAT.... Although when you are dry camping it will run your battery(s) down faster. I was prepping my RV this spring in the driveway, charged the battery's up, and started the fridge, nothing else was running, and the 2 12volt battery's were dead in about two days...
