Install 30amp outlet instead of pull cable on travel trailer
Can anyone give me some part recommendations or experience recap on removing your pull cable and installing a receptacle on outside of camper? I’ve got a 2022 Coleman LT

If you want to covert your shore power cable to a detachable one there are several kits that will accommodate that. The most popular are the twist lock style but many like the "Smart Plug" system. They are very simple to install.

I kind of like having our cable stored inside. Depending on where the service is located I can pull out as much as needed and leave the rest in the storage compartment. I even have a 10' extension if I need it.
So, I'm curious for the reason to change. Always looking for a better way
Thanks

Same on mine. And I have an EMS hardwired inside.

I also have a hardwired EMS and I changed over from "mouse hole" to a detached cable. Why? First and foremost for me was eliminating an entry point for bugs and mice, air drafts, etc. Second consideration was wet weather. Instead of TRYING to dry off the cable while shoving it in a hole and having it dripping inside the trailer I can wrap it up and throw it in the bed of the truck.
JMO, YMMV

I installed this conversion kit a few years ago.
Everything you need.
