There was an article posted recently about a system that you can install to use the water from your greywater tank to flush your toilet.

[QUOTE=flybouy;452136]Thats not the place to conseve water. The quickest way to a "poo pyramid" in the blank tank is by using too little water.[/QUOTE

What is your target amount of saved water ? 20 -30 gallons? Wouldn’t it be less stress to just take that much extra water with you and avoid all the extra worry?

I agree to disagree. On every camper I've ever owned - stalled valves on every water line including the toilet. That way I can control the amount of water that goes down it. It normally stays closed if I'm boondocking somewhere. Just open it up if you have to do number 2
We can camp with no hookups for almost 9 days without dumping anyting

More power to you guys that like to boondock and push it to the edge.. at some point it seems like rationing water in a lifeboat. My wife would not have an enjoyable trip if I followed behind her and made sure she was following the “procedure” and saving every drop of water.
I have a portable waste tank for waste and can bring extra water But to each his own

First post first: "There was an article posted recently about a system that you can install to use the water from your greywater tank to flush your toilet." I believe I'll pas on that. Maybe you should smell the water from your grey tank.....maybe not!
Next post: "I agree to disagree. On every camper I've ever owned - stalled valves on every water line including the toilet. That way I can control the amount of water that goes down it. It normally stays closed if I'm boondocking somewhere. Just open it up if you have to do number 2"
Keep in mind, this 'system' works for you. It is NOT the correct way and not for anybody new to RV'ing to even give consideration.

If I tried that with my DW, she'd be "far too quiet for the rest of the camping stay" and on the way home, I'd hear something like, "Stop by WalMart and buy a "FOR SALE" sign. When we get home, I'm taking my stuff out of the trailer and you can deal with how to get rid of it, I'm not going under those conditions ever again".... <well, that's not "exactly" what she'd say, but Forum rules prohibit posting the "exact words" she'd be using>.....

And that, sports fans, would be the end of needing a diesel truck, so I might as well buy two "FOR SALE" signs while I'm at WalMart......
