IN·command Bluetooth Connection Issue
I just got a new cougar 368MBI. I cannot get my phone for the life of me to connect via Bluetooth to the iN·command center. Am I missing something on a step to do. I am pretty tech savvy but it just isn’t working. I get to the point of trying to pair. I hit connect on my phone to pair. I get the pair code on the phone and iN·command system and then after 30 seconds or so I get the message that pairing was uncessful. Any other tips or tricks to get this to work.

Mine will not work for pairing with WiFi .. I know they say you can control it from anywhere but I’ve been unsuccessful in that

I am right in front of the display when trying to pair and it won’t pair. I will try to update the firmware and see if that works.

Call ASA Electronics. Many reports of them providing excellent customer service.

It’s been awhile. I can’t remember if I updated because of Bluetooth or WiFi issues but at this point it couldn’t hurt to try

Have you made sure that you have the correct app installed on your phone?

Good point. That was the issue I had when I got my 5er. Switched to correct app and it all worked fine.

Bluetooth connection to In-Command
There are times when I can’t get my phone to connect at all. My In-Command is very finicky. I agree with being sure you have the right app. Then be sure you have the right floor plan selected.
If it still doesn’t pair, forget the device on your pairing menu, go in the house and have a cup of coffee, a beer, or whatever suits you, then go try it again. Maybe the In-Command gods will take pity on you and connect...LOL. I pulled up ASA Electronics website and followed their directions to the letter and finally got mine to pair. It seems to have settled down and connects most of the time now.

I got mine to work by calling the company and they walked me through it. Hoping things keep connected.

Is it that you can't pair, or is it that your phone doesn't see the Bluetooth beacon even before trying to pair?
I'm not sure whether the BT antenna is in the display or in the pod. None of the manuals are clear on that. There's the usual BS regulatory warning about keeping the antenna 20cm away from people at all times, which is pretty ridiculous since they don't tell you where it is. In any event, you may do better not getting right in its face, as an overpower signal can seriously distort traffic.
