110 Outlet on power pole use

When we are at a full hookup campground, I noticed that the power pole always has a couple of regular plugs in addition to the 30 and/or 50 amp connections. Lately, I have been plugging in my electric heater and portable icemaker to this connection with a power strip and save the trailer electrical for lighter duties. I am thinking about adding a quick connect system so the extention cord does not run through TH ramp door. My question is am I over thinking and extra working myself with no real gain?
If it matters, 2006 NRG 26'.

I have my Cougar on a seasonal lot when I'm not on the road. The campground only has 30 amp service, so I added a 20 amp outlet on the kitchen slide, along with several outlets - 1 for the fireplace, and another above the counter to run my coffee maker, induction cooktop, etc. Works great. When I'm on the road, I look for 50 amp hook-ups, but I still have the option to use the extra 20 amp outlet.

Here's what I installed: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The attachment below shows what it looks like on my camper.
