Progressive hardwired HW50C 2016 333MKS

Previous lurker, new member from Yorba Linda, CA. I searched and did not see it posted anywhere, but I am picking up our new 333MKS next week, and want to install while on our shakedown trip a PI HW50C. I heard that the 50amp inbound cable should be accessible from the basement behind a divider by the entry door. Has anyone installed a hardwired unit in a 333MKS, and if so where? Any pictures would be great as I am a visual kind of guy! lol Thanks!

reoking,

May not be specific to the 333MKS, but here's a few existing threads (some with photos) on the HW50C install. Hopefully these will help until other members chime-in.

Good luck! Not sure how accessible that panel is in the basement. It sounds like it will take some massaging from the best that I can tell. I am curious why both when what I read about the Progressive has the lower end protection too.

hardwired

On our 2006 Montana there was plenty of room behind the circuit breaker box to install the Progressive. Keystone had left plenty of excess wire so that buying wire was not needed. Obviously once installed and the breaker box reinstalled, the remote display is needed to keep track of its readings.

Although not needed to just install the Progressive, I also wanted to install a manual transfer switch upstream of it in the basement for the generator I was also installing. Access to the area behind the breaker box was relatively easy from the basement, although the furnace and the converter were in the area between the two.

Good luck.
