Hauling kayaks

I not long ago got in kayak fishing and really like it. How do you haul yours when you hooked to your 5er"

We have inflatable kayaks so hauling them isn't an issue. I have seen different setups for carrying them:
1) on a rack mounted on the tow vehicle. There are various racks out there ranging from the simple to the complex. Some folks use racks designed to carry smaller cartoppers.

2) on the back of the RV. There are some mounts that are designed for kayaks -- can't remember the website but you'll be able to find them if you Google it.

Depending upon the length of the kayak one of the above methods may not be practical.

If you do a forum search fir "KAYAK" you'll get 46 returns. Looking over the list, at least 4 or 5 deal with carrying kayaks in or on RV's.

I been wondering that for a while. I usually bring my brothers kayaks out on top of the roof rack of our Armada. Now that I have the fver I haven't been able to yet. Didn't want to bolt anything down on top of the fver and get any leaks.

Kayak Rack

This is how we haul ours, my son and I have about $125 in materials and 8-10 hrs labor. Frame mounted hitch and bolt on racks. We can also put our bike carrier on at the same time.
