Scissor Jacks

Hey Guys, I know I'm not supposed to lift my trailer with scissor jacks and that they are not designed for this but will it "hurt" the frame of the trailer if I leave it slightly raised for a few days? In the manual it states that they are rated for 6500lbs. I'm going back to reinstall in the concrete blocks in a couple days and put in some proper jacks.... Thanks in advance for any input. Anson.

Why do you need to do it for a couple days? Did you level side to side by putting blocks under the table and front to back using the tongue jack? Most likely will not do damage, might make a door or 2 not work correctly. How will a cement block fix it, where is that going? If you are putting the trailer on blocks, be sure to go the middle as well as the corners.

Yep.. I levelled it side to side and front to back using the front tongue jacks and the rear scissor jacks. I've never levelled one before and I'm in the middle of the woods on dirt and rock. I simply ran out of time and had to leave (the pouring rain didn't help things). I was/am worried about doing damage or the scissor jacks breaking before I get back. I picked up 10 cinder blocks and cut a bunch of 2x6 and am going back Wednesday. Thanks for the tip on the supporting the middle.

The scissor jacks are for stabilizing. Shouldn't use those to level, they are not designed to hold the weight of the trailer.

Blocks or boards should be used to level the trailer side to side, placing them under the tires on the low side.
