leak in water heater
how do you get to the water supply line that goes to the water heater to 'Shut off" water to heater, But allow at the other water runs to work properly.
Is there a shut off for this?
I have a keystone carbon 358 model (2021)
tks, in advance

Welcome to the forum
You should have a valve on the back side of the water heater, if there isn’t a “bypass” valve in the convience center.

thank you for that.
so I'm trying to run water with the shut off, on the off position and the On positing and water is still coming out from the water heater.. so either the bypass is not working?
does that make sense?

Where is the valve your turning? Is it on the back of the water heater?

Tks. I have not done the back of heater yet.
I’m trying to figure out how to get to that area??
I’ve looked behind oven and cabinets to see if u find access point. No luck yet. Do I need to get it from underneath?

Below is a link to the trailer. At the 2:58 mark there is a picture of the convenience center. On the right is the water heater bypass - turn it on. The water heater is bypassed and water will not go into it.

I'm assuming you are referring to water running running out of the faucet hot side? If you are, then that's how the water heater bypass works. It directs the cold water from entering the water heater and directs it to the hot water lines, therefore "bypassing" the water heater.

I’m not clear if you are wanting to shut the water supply off just because or because you are getting a drip drip from the TP valve. If it’s from the TP valve, you might need to restore the air gap inside the water heater. The water heater needs an air pocket at the top for expansion. Otherwise the TP valve will leak water periodically.
