Black Streaks

I am not sure what to try next on the textured panels that run front to rear on the lower foot or so on my Alpine. The Rear panel where the majority of the water run off is the panel is really dirty. I have tried black streak remover, simple green, and dawn just doesn't seem to do the job it is better but is their another product to try or do they get stained beyond cleaning. 2nd question the caulking that is on the termination strips on the slides have what appears to be mold in the sealant that appears to be silicone not dicor is their any suggestions to clean caulking or should i remove it and use dicor. Thanks

I bought some stuff at the end of the summer at Camping World that really seemed to work but it is at our storage facility with the trailer. I'll try to get out there and get the name of it and post it in a day or two.

I've had good luck with WD40 and a soft rag.

Good luck,

Don't get too carried away like I did. I started with car wash soap, then a cleaner/detailer, then black streak remover, then a 3M compounding paste. That was a bit too much. I now have a dulled spot about 4" below the scare light. Probably no one would see it but me.
I would be interested in something that works that doesn't hurt the finish, which in my case is just a decal.

Fiberglass on RVs is rather new but not in the boating industry. I'll try to talk to my boat detailer next week. When coming to a dock it is not unusual to bump the dock guard and get an ugly black mark. Not WD-40 but brake cleaner is used at the dock. It takes off the black mark and also the wax. For mold/mildew interior and exterior nothing beats X-14 on my boat.

This is not on the smooth fiberglass sides but the lower skirting on the sides it's like a white coating on the aluminum skirting below the smooth filon. Has anyone tried bleach on caulking to try to remove mold on caulking.

I've used this product and so has a buddy of mine with a trailer. A friend who has a boat recommended it. Personally I didn't think it did as good of a job as he claimed it would, but it did work for me. I did not have heavy streaks though. I used this on the sides as I haven't seen any streaking on the aluminum skirting.

Might be worth looking into? I know I picked mine up at the dollar store...

I have good results with "Reliable" brand. Local RV dealers sell it here. The aluminum skirting does hold the dirt and requires more friction to remove. I spray it on the caulking and use a small brush and it works well for me.
