Dinette/table bracket ripped out of wall!

I think my 8yo did this, but I can't totally blame him, because after looking closer the 4 screws are just held by the thin panelling! Seriously, this can't be right. Anyone have this problem? Seems like there should be a bit of solid wood back there to get a good grip. Now I have to use anchors or something.

Totally not his fault. I found two places where backing wood was either non existence or placed in the wrong position. I now have two holes to repair in my bedroom.

It is only 3 months old (brand new) and I can't believe they could expect wood screws in 1/8 paneling to hold for long. If they put backer wood behind there, I am not sure how to find it. They just had it for warranty repair for 4-5 weeks and I just got it back! I think I just have to deal with this on my own.

The backing wood for the flat screen TV in mine was out of position by about 3 inches leaving only 2 screws to hold it on the wall. Good thing I found it early or the whole thing would have fallen off the wall. The bedroom TV mount wasn't even there at all.
