Bottom of rear door swollen.

I have a 35 foot fuzion. Went in and checked on things and noticed there is a horizontal crack almost the width of the door on the inside. Thought that was pretty weird, then when I went out and looked at the outside of the door I noticed it to be swollen on the bottom about 2 1/2 feet down. There's no water in the door and we live in a cold climate but not really wet. Kelowna BC.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Rob.

What would cause the door to swell other than water (or some liquid)?

Howdy All;

Perhaps some spray from the tires, had the same problem with the used TT
that was my first home on wheels. Only thing I can think of that would
concentrate water in the lower part of the rear door and wouldn't effect the
front door.

I'm going to agree that it's water as that's about the only thing that would make this happen. Try drilling a few holes through the bottom of the door and if it drips or your drill bit is wet then you have your answer.
Btw doesn't it rain in Kelowna BC

Haha yup it does rain here, water is the only thing I can think of but the door is sealed. I will drill a little hole and see what's up.

Copy from the other cracked door post, shorten. I found water gets into the inside of the door around the window moldings. Unscrew the molding from inside, be sure to hold onto the glass. Put a bead of sealant around the window opening on the outside of the door. I did it myself but, having someone help is a good idea. Test it by spraying water around the window before and after. Mine had water on inside of glass before, not after.
