OK, I understand that, we were at Willowtree RV in Longs, SC last weekend when Sandy came by the coast.. I understand the flapping very well. Nothing like a rocking camper in 35++ MPH gusts. Did not sleep very well Saturday night. Saving grace was we left camper down in the storage yard for 3 weeks until we can return for Thanksgiving. Saved me the white knuckle drive home. Thanks

Tie Down Poles

I've been thinking about some sort of support and I really like your idea. Would you post your drawing or send it to my e-mail. Thanks a bunch.

Will be pulling the ad & pictures tomorrow. Evidently no one wants the last set. Everyone seems to think they can build them. Alum tubing is around $3/ft and it takes 20' plus 1/8" plate and a way to cut & form the plates, etc in addition to about 10hr labor.

Pictures?

Hi dunnnc, I visited this post a while back and recall seeing pictures of this mod and was quite excited about it. I don't see the pictures any longer however, so I was wondering if you had them somewhere else that I could look at.

If you have any other details about these, I'd be interested in seeing them as well. You could just PM me if you like.

Thanks

He took his toys and went home. It doesn't look like the post was ever really about sharing a good idea but rather an attempted sales opportunity for the OP. The thread is fairly worthless now without the original pictures that accompanied it.

Power Awning tie down Poles

Here are the pictures of the poles I bought a set and they work as advertised they held up in South Carolina in high winds after Sandy went by on October 28th.

rbjsaylo & 720Deere -
FYI you can still view some dunnnc's awning support photos by looking at his profile and click on "Find all posts by dunnnc". You will have to look at his posts of late October. The supports that he had made and listed in the For Sale/Wanted section apparently have all been sold. The photos and descriptions of the supports that he submitted in this category were deleted.

Where's the drawing?

I'd like to try it; but where can I get the drawings?
