5er Mount convert to gooseneck

I don't like the 5th wheel mount taking up so much of the truck bed. My truck came with both standard 5th wheel mount and gooseneck connections.

I've noticed some advertisements for conversions to gooseneck that would give me back most of my truck bed.

Are these things safe? Do they work as well as a standard 5er mount?

I've got a 5th wheel camper that weighs in at 8215#. My truck is a 2008 Dodge 4x4 Ram 3500 6.7L dually.

I switched over and love it. Camping World did the work and it was guaranteed by them.
Just research which unit you need.

I have had one for 11 years on two FW love it have read all the negative comments on these conversions never experienced any of them.
