Stove Not Lighting

I have a 2010 Cougar 318 SAB and the front center burner on the stove does not light with the twist igniter. The back 2 burners have a spark but the front center one does not spark. I cleaned the end but still no luck. It lights with a match. Any ideas?

Move the sparker wire from a different burner and try again. The wire has probably chaffed on something and is grounding out. Common points are where the wire goes under the burner tube.

If using a different wire works, then inspect the original wire for a worn spot. I have used shrink wrap to repair, even used electrical tape on one.

Yep Chuckster, it was the wire, it had some of the insulation burned of and was shorting out on the frame. Cost of fix=$0 Wife's happiness level = 10
