Pullout couch support

Hello All
I have a 2015 Cougar XLite 29 RLI. My inlaws came up to stay with us last weekend, my father-in-law placed his knee on the first segment of the pullout couch closest to the couch, and it looks like he went through the support structure. Is there anyway for me to repair this?

Repairs to Couch

Hello everyone. Last weekend during a camping trip with the inlaws, my father-in-law placed his knee on part of the pull out couch (it was pulled out) closest to the frame. It looks like he must have all of his substantial weight onto one or two of the support straps and these have now broken. Does anyone know how to repair these?

Understood, I will be using the RV next weekend and will take a couple of pictures then.

John, thanks for the reply.

Sounds great, Navydiver1980.

I'm sure that someone has encountered the same type of issue (or a similar one) and will have suggestions on how you can best repair the damage. The first order of business though, is trying to imagine what the damage really is.... Once you post pictures, I'm sure you'll get loads of appropriate suggestions

Hello everyone
I took a couple of pictures with my phone but I need to edit them at work. I did sort out the issue though. On the first section of the pullout couch there is an aluminum frame. Sitting on top of this frame is a 4 in piece of foam wrapped in a cover. We un zipped the cover and removed the foam. The only support for it were plastic strapping, about twelve of them. I removed the broken ones (about 8 of them) and used paracord to make a sling for the foam. Put all back together and it supported both my wife and I. Pretty cheap setup to begin with!
