Hole in rubber roof

I had just washed the camper. While up on the roof, I discovered a hole in my roof. It looks like someone took the heel of their boot and twisted.

How does a person go about patching the roof? Do they make patches? Is it better for me to take it somewhere and have them do it, or can I attempt this myself?

Thanks

Daryl

Daryl, There are many products made for Patching Rubber Roofs I keep products made by Dicor on hand just in case and since they manufactured the roof material it is compatible. I personally would do the job myself and know it was done right and much quicker. JM2¢, Hank

If the hole is small enough, buy some Eternabond tape and repair it yourself. You can google Eternabond tape and by online or any rv supply store should have it. First you need to make sure that water has not damaged the roof sheathing.
It sounds like a tree branch got you.

X2 on the Eternabond .....a fairly easy fix. Thoroughly clean area before use.

Thanks for the quick reply's.

I looked up Eternabond and appears that I can only get it online. I'll run over to CW tomorrow and see what they have. I like the idea of getting the RV-EMT mini roll, because I only have a small hole to patch. Most everything that I saw was 50' rolls. I don't think that I would ever use 50' of that stuff. I don't have to patch my entire roof, just a small hole.

Thanks.

Just wanted to give an update on this posting.

I ran over to CW yesterday morning and picked up this DiSeal Patch.

On second observation, I think that the hole was really a defect. There were two smaller holes on the edge of this spot, but the rest of the spot was more of a bubble. Perhaps I did catch a tree branch, caused the holes and then something got under the roofing material causing the bubbling. But it looked to me like the holes were the result of the bubbling, and that if I didn't get it covered, more of the material would eventually turn into holes as well.

I wish that I took a picture, but I was focused on getting it fixed before we had another rain storm. It stormed the night that I discovered the spot and I didn't sleep at all that night because all I could think of was the hole in the roof of my camper.

I got the hole fixed. The patch was super easy to put on, so now I can sleep easier at night.

Thanks for everyone's help.
