When we dry camp with the Honda eu2000i generator, I don't even use the 30 amp extension. I have a heavy duty 100' contractors extension cord that I connect up to the dog bone adapter. It's even lighter in weight and I can place the generator where it can barely be heard by anyone. We don't use the A/C at all when dry camping up here in the Adirondacks so 15 amp service is all that is required with the generator.
The 50 amp cable stays in the storage compartment. I've yet to use it.
