I have a Cougar 31SQB and my pump is in the bed room on the side of the bed. One side of the bed has a "laundry shoot" into the storage area and the other side is the pump. I tried like heck to get mine to pump from that area but the hose is all crammed in there with a kink so it was a serious pain in the butt last winter. I am going to dump antifreeze into the fresh water tank and do it that way.
I don't know why that would be bad? They recommend putting a little at the bottom of that tank as well as the gray and black tanks. When I flushed everything out I ran water and bleach in the fresh water tank and lines and let it sit 24 hours. After that I pumped that out and put in water and some Arm and Hammer baking soda for 24 hours. Pumped that out after that and never had issues with taste or smell.
