Jarrod: I thought it was, sounds like a nice set up. I just needed to get Mel thinking a little bit more. Have a great time with the new TT.....Enjoy..... Happy Campin.............Ron

with all that beer who needs a tv you can pull it by yourself as far as the stinky slinky. they are a waste of money. you can buy lots of beer and snacks for the price of the sewer hose suport

Yep, it's getting real now. The maiden voyage is this weekend at a state campground near us. We are literally going to tow it home from the dealership, load it up, and go. We're only going for two nights but the weather is going to be great this weekend and we really want to put it to use for a couple of months before it gets too wet and cold for the kids to have any fun.

Oh, and jdoug, I already have the magic gravity chair and a nice bottle of 18 year old Balvenie for the first trip this weekend.

Sounds great, when and where since I'm also in Oregon! I've got the relaxing down pretty good and can give great instructions from my chair.

Talking Sewer support hose

Why? Isn't DW responsible for this job? Show Her how to dump the sewer, pull the handle and make up a quick story why you MUST check the control panel immediately. Problem solved. No hand sanitizer needed. Now pop a top and relax.

We're going to Champoeg for a couple of nights. Won't take us long to get there from Woodburn since we can't leave until about 5:30 and we're close to home if we need anything or something doesn't go quite as planned.

That is about what we did with our first TT purchase in Washington. Then on our second purchase, we just camped our way home from the dealer in Washington...sure was nice to have someone we trusted in Washington. To bad they sold out or we would have had another new Arctic Fox...great trailers! Oh well, now we have a Sprinter and while it is not up to the same quality of the AF, it is nice.

Enjoy, Champoeg is a nice place to kick back and drink fine old scotch.

No one has mentioned a good supply of olive oil!
Good luck with the new rig!

Thanks for all of the replies. We picked up the Passport yesterday and I got pretty much everything on my initial list. The dealership also let me trade the 10 ft cheap sewer hose with no end on it toward the Rhinos 15 ft heavy duty sewer hose that comes with all of the fittings. We loaded it up and headed right out. It pulls great with my Tacoma. We have now spent our first night in it and there are a couple more minor things I'd like to get such as a piece of foam padding for the queen bed but we're pretty nicely equipped.

that never ends. after every camping trip i come home with a grocery list of stuff i "need". starts with zero gravity chairs, tiki torches, steadyfast system. it never neds. part of the fun. might wanna make sure you have a few replacement fuses along. i made that mistake once and power tongue jack had to be hand cranked.

We "fought" the Keystone "Residentual Quality RV mattress" that was supposed to be as good as a "home mattress" for about 15 nights before we had enough. Went to CW and bought the short queen "eurotop" mattress on sale. It fixed all our "back problems" on the road and was much better than the toppers, etc we had tried in the past. For the money (waking up refreshed is worth most anything) I'd suggest if you're still not satisfied, don't spend any more money on "fixes" or "make-do's" rather just go ahead and get a good mattress.

Yeah, I like a firm mattress but that's a little much. After the first night I ran to Camping World and picked up one of the thin Dream Zone foam toppers. It made a world of difference for me but it's still too firm for my wife so we'll probably wind up looking for a matress down the road. They're expensive, though, and we need to lay off the bank account for a month and spend our money on paying for campsites.
