kingpin stabilizer

We have ordered a 2013 raptor 381LEV due to arrive the first week in may. This is our first fiver and was wondering whet everybodyd thoughts were on a kingpin stabilizer. Is it a necessary or not? Or is it just another un-nessary expense and added weight taking up space?

Being a toy hauler, you will be sprung a lot tighter than a regular 5er due to its cargo capacity.

When I had a toy hauler, not only did I not use any type of kingpin stabilizer, I also never lowered the rear stabilizer jacks. Simply weren't necessary.

YMMV if course. Take it on some trips and see.

BTW, I use my rear jacks on the current 5er, but feel no need for king pin stabilizer.

My dad ended up putting the JT strong arm stabilizers on their trailer. Nothing extra to carry and solid as a rock!!!!!
