KIB tank level monitor ID
2015 Carbon.
I'm trying to find a part number on the board that does tank monitoring. It was made by KIB.
I've got the belly pan dropped for an unrelated reason, but my tank level monitor has been getting more and more spotty. Right now, only one LED will indicate anything (at all), so I'm assuming that the board itself has gone wonky.
[email protected] is bouncing and website is down, so that's not good.
I've read the KIB part numbers demystified PDF, but it doesn't seem to be one of those.
This is a 5-button monitor. The panel looks roughly like this:

The entire panel is listed on Trekwood.com for $237. Whether individual parts of that panel are available or not is a good question. You might give them a call and see what their parts department might suggest.

There is a monitor panel board listed, but it does not appear to be configured the same as yours. At $131, with no returns on electrical components, it's a "risky gamble".... https://www.trekwood.com/products/95...n-Tank-KY09034

From the sounds of it "getting more and more wonkey with time" have you checked the ground connection for the tank sensors? If the ground has been building up corrosion overtime could be causing a problem. Anyway, just a thought.

Yea, it's risky to buy a $130 used board, when I can get the whole panel for under $200.
I've dropped the belly pan. I understand how it's wired now - note it's ALL the functions of this board that are down (I get a single LED light on one of the tanks). The +12v and ground are good - which should at least light battery status and that's dead.
Each tank appears to have an individual ground.
I'm going to try to call KIB - can't tell if they are even in business as their website is down.
If I can't replace it, I think I'm going to replace it with a Garnet 709-4 SeeLevel II monitoring system, which is just shy of $300 -- they're known to be much more accurate and wiring is much simpler than these tank sensors - I can use the existing harness if I want.
If you've never dropped your belly pan, figure on a few day minimum fixing the giant mess that's under there...

Note, KIB says this is not one of theirs... It's made by: http://positroncorp.com/
It may be Positron 507-1
I called them. They'll sell a new one for $42 (shipped)

The board looks pretty straight forward, mostly resistors, diodes, and a most likely an eprom chip. The chip may have a number written under that 3166 sticker. If it does, I'd see if there were available, may only be a couple of bucks.
If you can get that chip and your not comfortable soldering then any tv/stereo electronics repair shop could do it. Maybe worth the money to try, may not.

I'm comfortable with board-level repairs - but I've got this down to <$50 for a new one, so I'm not going to fiddle with board-level repairs.
I've asked them for a part number for future reference for other owners.
These analog-based tank systems suck (in general) in terms of accuracy. The SeeLevel system gets much better reviews - but it's a lot more work to put in (if you're not already neck-deep in the belly of a 5th wheel) than replacing a board.

Interesting thread. I think you’ll find all the sensor packs grounded to the frame, and as such all grounded together. FWIW, ALL grounds are grounded to the frame. I have a plug with just a single wire on the ground pin, about 3 ft of wire. I can use my test light just about anywhere, plug in, clip onto the lead and go to town.
