Slide Out Motors Leak Oil

I read on here some where about the slide out motors leaking oil and ruining the roof membrane. So I checked mine and sure enough they are leaking oil and the kitchen slide already has a bubble in it. Will they fix this under warranty? 2019 High Country 310RE Bought in June.

Take photos, contact your dealer and see how they want to handle it.

Keystone did, for a while, pay for a new slide roof. In the past few months, since they started installing drip pans on the motors, I've heard some rumblings that they will not replace the slide roof on trailers with problems.

I'd find out what your dealer has to say, but I'd get photos first, just for your own records.

Mine is currently in for this reason...all 4. Year is up in about 2 weeks fwiw.
No drama at all. Just told the dealer and they said, np they will replace all covers and add drain pans.

What model years of trailers does this affect? My 2017 361 Is not leaking, should I be looking to install the drip pans anyway?
Thanks

My 2014 slide motor has never leaked and probably was manufactured before the problem seals were being installed. Even though there's no reason for me to worry (from the statistical data side of the equation) I went ahead and zip tied a shallow "meatloaf size" aluminum pan to the underside of my slide motor. Now, if there "might ever be a problem" my slide roof is protected.

Easy mod that just made sense at the time, cost me nothing (so to speak) and provides some "added protection just in case"......

There's no need to spend money to "buy the factory drip pans" which may not work well on your slide motor, if there were any revisions in the motor case/gearbox size or shape. But, if I were you, I'd take a couple of minutes and add some "no cost/low cost" drip pan to the motor gearbox.
