How to remove 14x14 vent from roof
I am replacing one of the vent with a new one. how do I get the old one off without destroying the the roof. I take out the screw , now how to get the vent and sealant/glue off? This is a non-walk on roof.

There is no way that I know of to get it off without being on the roof to remove the sealant....maybe someone on here knows a way. You may have to put a piece of plywood up there to work off of in order to "distribute your weight" across a bigger area. As far as removing the sealant, it's one of those slow and steady things. When I removed mine lad fall to put a second A/C unit in, I took a heat gun up with me to help soften the sealant then just worked small areas and heated again. I also bought some plastic putty knives instead of using metal. I even rounded the corners of them before using them. Another suggestion is to use the putty knife with one hand and then use your other hand to try and hold down the riding membrane where you are scraping. It took me probably 2+ hours, but that was working it very slowly and making sure that I didn't tear the roof anywhere.

Thanks, I was thinking, I would spend 2 plus hours. I have a 2 inch sheet of styrofoam to put on the roof so I can get on it. I was going to try metal putty knife,
I like your idea of the plastic ones and round corner. I do not want to damage the roof membrane.

Just take your time. It's doable, but I'd hate to make my living doing it!

It’s only slow and scary the first time!! I pull vents off in 15 minutes or less. Use a nice putty knife to “cut” the Dicor, then use a plastic scraper to get under the flange. Pull one corner up and then hold the membrane down with one hand as you lift the vent off.

I used a piece of .020 stainless steel safety wire about 2 feet long wrapped around two 3/8 x 3” bolts and cut through the sealant like slicing cheese. A guitar string would work.

I installed a MAXXair fan in my Bullet with the help of my wife several years ago. We we both on our non-walkable Bullet roof at the same time without incident. You just need to distribute your weight. A good approach is 2" rigid foam board. Buy an 8' sheet and cut it up into 2x4' sections. Stagger them around your work space on the roof, making sure it spans several rafters. The foam board is rigid enough to provide support to your weight but soft enough to prevent damage the roof membrane.
As far as getting the old dicor off up, slow and easy wins the race. With the help of an automotive plastic trim panel removal kit, we were able to peel away the sealant and old butyl tape. Used some denatured alcohol to clean up the opening.
Remember, it's not a very difficult task, but we spent about 3 hours getting it prepped properly. Would a dealer's service technician spend 3 hours on the prep work? Probably not. But I know the install was done to my satisfaction.
Good luck.
