Hidden Scales
I just discovered that there are certified 3-axle scales available which are not readily advertised.
The Pilot/Flying J in Jarrell, TX has a certified scale. However, it is not a CAT scale so it doesn't show on the CAT scale locator. And if you download the Pilot/Flying J location list, it also says they do not have a CAT scale.
How do you find them? Visit the store details page of a Pilot location and see if they list "certified scale" as an amenity.
Their location list has 10 stores in TX that indicate no CAT scale. Visiting each store page, 2 of them do! Try it for your state.
