Avalanche and Alpine trailers

I don't see many post about the Avalanche and Alpine trailers. Are they built that much better or are they just not as popular as the Cougar and Montana units?
I have a 2013 Avalanche 330re (titled as a 2014 for some reason) and haven't had any issues.....yet.

Well for starters they don't sell as many. I can speak for the Alpine when I say the quality is very good. There are a few posts out there where some members have had some issues, but for the most part Alpine owners are very satisfied with the quality, features, and operation of their RV. We've had ours a little over 2 years now have used it many times and have put over 5k miles on it, the only issue so far has been a few burnt out light bulbs, and an adjustment to the door latch. Can't speak for that Avalanche, I've never even been in one.

Could not be happier with our Alpine fifth wheel. We set out full time May of 2013 and have not looked back. We have put over 60,000 miles on it, and have no complaints. We always joked about ours being built on the day that the big shots from headquarters must have been in the factory watching as it was being put together! The only time it was "in the shop" was for the air conditioner units (a very quick fix)! Everything else continues to work exactly as it should.

According to Keystone, their luxury models are the Alpine and Montana (not the High Country). The Legacy models of the Montana line are quite nice and look very well constructed.

Alpine is probably less well known than most other Keystone products, because there are fewer dealers, and thus fewer units out there. We're very happy with ours.

Prior to buying our 2013 3535RE we looked at most of the competition, and found very few who could compete on a "high end" fiver, for fit and finish, and value for the dollar. They're not inexpensive, but worth every penny.

We did the same. Almost bought a Big Country, but then I did a lot of research on-line and thought for sure the Cedar Creek would be the way to go (really disappointed in the actual unit). We looked at Redwood, had some serious sticker shock. The local Montana dealer couldn't show me where they kept the gold, but did remind me that they are the best selling trailer for 300 years running so worth every penny. We loved the Jayco Pinnacle, but didn't feel like making a couple modifications that would be required to make it work for us. We had been to every dealership in the area and looked at every brand we could think of on line, went to the St Louis RV show, shopped for over 3 months. We had walked past the Alpine we have on the lot several times. I never went inside because I didn't want full body paint and wasn't familiar with the brand. Finally the salesman talked me into taking a look. We fell in love. If I had looked sooner it may have saved us a lot of time.

We are on our third season with our 2014 Alpine 3010RE.. A few minor cosmetic trim issues inside that dealer fixed.. One black out shade that would not stay down.. I fixed that after contacting maker of the shades.. Replaced stock E rated Trailer King tires after first season with 14 ply tires for a peace of mind.. Love the heat pump and fireplace.. Very, very pleased with the unit. Tows like a dream

Avalanche and Apine Trailers

We purchased our Alpine 3101RL in May 2015. Used it in 2015 for 10 weeks and have had it out for 3 weeks this year already. We just love it. Had some warranty issues but my dealer and Keystone took care of all the issues. In our travels we have not seen very many Alpines. Not sure why as the rig is well made with great finishes. Love the 6 point level up system.

We love our Alpine as well. We have had a few minor issues but overall we are very pleased with the construction of our unit.

Going on 3 years with our Avalanche. Other than a baggage door strut pulling a way from the door, its been problem free.

DW and I just love our Alpine! A few minor issues to be addressed in the beginning nothing crazy. As Alpine posted the big wigs must of been there the day mine was born too! We were dead set on a Jayco unit until we saw this one at the Hershey show I'm glad we went with it. IMO you can't go wrong with this unit for the $.

Keep in mind that Alpine has only been a Keystone line since 2010. It is still expanding as far as dealers who handle them and the numbers on the road. IMO, they took a Montana and added a few things that would set them apart like the heat pump. From what I've seen, you get the same quality with a few extras at a better price point because you aren't paying for the Montana name.

We loved our 2012 3600RS so much, we are waiting to take delivery of our 2016 3601RS full body paint in the Merlot paint scheme, very excited. The 6th of Aug can't get here soon enough!

We are enjoying our 2014 3010RE, still doing local trips (200 miles or so) waiting for wife to retire next year. Like others have noted, we had a few trim issues the dealer repaired without issue. We did have our converter/inverter go out right after the factory warranty expired, but the local dealer made good on the repair through their local warranty.

Find a good dealer and enjoy.

Love our 3535RE. Couple of minor glitches but these could be on any camper to be honest. Still harping at the wife as we truly need a toy hauler but she really loved the Front Living 5er and I had some concerns so this was the compromise. Only thing I would recommend and its not due to being an Alpine is with this 3535RE, Having 2 large opposing slides are neat and create a very open feel in the living room...but the large windows which make up the entire slide on both sides really does contribute to the lack of comfort if you are camping in the open sun....Headed out to Myrtle Beach in a bit....

If you have not serviced your slide out gear packs since you purchased it add it to your list of things to do at least on an annual basis.

I have the lube spray that I hit the mechanics with every other time out. I use the baby powder trick on the rubber. Something else I should be doing?
