Nut on frame

Anyone know what this is for? It's on a 2014 Raptor 297 inside the forward stairwell on the frame.

I believe that raises and lowers the spare tire.

The spare tire is much further toward the rear...there's a hole in the side skirting for that.

This one is in the behind the forward steps. It's on some sort of all thread, the nut is tight on the all thread, but not tight up against the frame...it's mounted on there somehow, but you can turn it by hand.

Does it turn when you open or close a slide?

We wondered the samething on our Raptor 361LEV - dealer said it was to close the slide incase the motor every went toast. He suggested using a ratchet but I think one would need to us a drill with a socket on it to move the slide.

If it is like the "override" for the slide like on my tt, it can be done with a ratchet, but you better be prepared. It's going to to take awhile and your arms will be ready to fall off by the time you are done.
