Thumbs up A couple neat things to do on the Oregon Coast

During a stay near Pacific City we had a chance to day trip around the area. There was the extremely boring *yawn* trip to Lincoln City outlet malls with my wife and sister in law. But a fun one was up to Tillamook Cheese factory and a drive along the Three Capes.

Check my blog here for the Cheese and here for the Capes.

It made for a great day trip, some beach hikes, ice cream and cheese. Life is good!

Great photo's as you always post! Are you or have you stopped at the Cape D lighthouse in Wa. There are big waves at times hitting the rocks and it's on a ciff. From the nearby park you can see the area from the beach.

Thanks. Yes I've camped in the state park there a couple times, beautiful area. Never seen the waves hitting the lighthouse rock yet, that would be cool. Seen some great pix of it online.

Being from Medford, we try to go to the coast as often as we can. Mostly Gold Beach area. Now that we have a TT we really hope to see a lot more of it. I've been to the cheese factory a couple of times...fun place! Great pics!!

We stayed at a campground once in Seaside, OR, and some state park inland near the Air Museum.

We toured the Tillamook factory also - ice cream and bought lots of cheese!

Great.......
