Advice on Minnesota/western Wisconsin dealers

It seems to be the general opinion to buy from a dealer who will then be the dealer you go to for service. We live near the Minneapolis/St Paul area in Minnesota. I'm looking for advice from those of you who have bought/serviced their RV's at Minnesota/western Wisconsin dealers. Who's good/bad? What was your experience? Just trying to get a feel.

We bought our last travel trailer (Outback 320BH) from Dicks rv in arkansaw WI. They also have a sister dealership in Eau Claire WI. called Northpoint rv.They sell many brands and have a good size inventorty on hand. We live in far northeastern Wisconsin so for us its a five hour trip but it was well worth it. They are very freindly and easy to work with. there was no pressure to buy and are happy to show you what you want to see. They also gave us the best price and trade in value on our previous camper. As far as warranty work I cant help you as we have not had any real issues with our TT, but we have several keystone dealers within a couple of ours that will do warranty work on trailers they dont sell to you, but you may have to wait in line to get problems fixed. They are very knowledgeable and friendly and easy to work with. If you are financing they have great rates and terms. Our salesmans name was Eric Polzer at Dicks rv. We would definately buy from them again. Good luck on your rv search

We bought our 2012 Montana 3750fl from Quality RV in Ramsey it started out good but went downhill fast! We have ours on a seasonal site of which I had told them when we purchased and we were told that they would service us no problem since I was only 85 miles to the north we had our fridge go out and called them and were told they don't go that far so I had to call a mobile service out for a 185.00$ for a recall part on the fridge! To add insult when I called to talk to the owner and tell him how disappointed I was he had the general manager call me back to apologize and asked me to fax my receipt for the service work and they would take care of it and call me back I to this day never heard back from him! So in my opinion I would stay away from them!!!

Thanks for those replies! Looking for others as well. Anyone use Pleasureland, Brambilla's, Shorewood, or Imperial in the Twin Cities area or Nobles in Owatonna?

We purchased our 327RES from Noble RV, they were very good to deal with. Have not had to return for any repair work, but I have talked to there service dept and they were very friendly. I would recommend them. We worked with Lisa, she was a good sales person.

I bought a 2010 Heartland 5er from Noble RV and was happy with the service department. I recently purchased a Keystone RV from Quality RV. I don't think the service department is a good as Noble RV but I could not argue with the 9,000 difference in cost of the same trailer. I figured I could by a lot of fixing for that amount of money. The drive for me is much better for Owatonna than North through the cities since I am on the south end of the cities. I just couldn't get the price I needed through Noble RV the second time around.

Pleasureland RV

I purchased our 2012 Laredo 303tg from Pleasureland... Epic service throughout... I live in Sioux Falls SD, our local dealer is a complete deuche "refused to order the trailer I wanted, and their sales and repair suck.". So went all the way up to Brainerd MN to purchase. They have 3 locations, so when it came time to exchange they brought the TT all the way down to their Marshall location "I think that was the city" no extra charge to me. Saved me a total of 6 hours by the time I was done. Will definetly buy from them again...

If you haven't towed your new trailer to the local dealership, next time you're headed out of town, it might not be a bad idea (at least to make a statement) to just stop by to get a cheap part and make sure the salesman that refused to order what you want is fully aware of the lost sale. Even if it doesn't change the way you feel about that dealer, it might "kick some sense" into the company wallet he holds so close to his butt.
