hauling motor cycle , which front tire chock to use

Hey guys I have a 2020 Keystone 429 5th wheel toy hauler… I was just trying to strap down my bike with a center stand and realized it was not going to be secure enough ...so I’m looking at trailer only wheel chocks for the front wheel and I’m wondering if anyone has bought one and secured it to the floor… This looks like a project with the underbelly issues and I don’t want to void any warranty. Anyone have any thoughts it is a full dresser victory cross country so it weighs about 900 pounds. looking at the Condor SC 2000 and Goplus stand

Back when I hauled a BMW R1100GS it was using a Condor Pit Stop wheel chock. I put the chock up against a piece of carpet edging but never fastened the chock to the floor. I used four ratchet straps pulling fore and aft.

OK so you basically used it for stability and then ratchet strapped it at four or six spots to keep it from moving… My biggest concern is with the weight of the spike with a quick stop or bumps that it may shift without having the chalk permanently affixed to the floor… It’s a rubber are used floor and I got to talk to the dealer about what’s underneath there for permanently attaching of chock

I mounted the wheel chock to a 2x2ft of plywood and glued a old rubber floor mat to the underside to keep it from sliding. Might be a bit overkill but I use 4 straps on the front - 2 pulling forward, 2 backward and then 2 more high on the rear frame pulling backwards as well. With a 6x6 block under the engine as well. It hasnt failed me yet, and have been over some very bouncy interstates.

I put wheel chocks in front and behind both wheels and use at least four tiedown straps, usually six actually. The chocks are pulled into the tires with a separate strap to secure them. Hauled my 2008 H-D Road King this way for 1000's of miles without problems.

No holes in the garage floor. Nothing to get in the way of using the garage for dinning or 2nd bedroom or the party room. YMMV.

On my current Raptor 356 I installed the Condor Pitstop wheel chock and got the Condor floor mount for it, part TK3000. That did involve getting to the underside though. What I did! The coroplast extended aft of the living area a few feet. It doesn't cover the area that has the fuel tanks. I dropped the coroplast and rolled it forward for access to the floor underside. Took the Condor floor mount and decided where I wanted it, made measurements above and checked below that any holes drilled wouldn't hit anything such as wiring or plumbing lines. Measure twice, or thrice, and drilled the 2 mounting holes. I then filled the holes with black silicone caulk, ran the bolts through the floor and went below. I got large fender washers to spread the load but first gooped a bunch of the black caulk around the bolt extending down. If you have help have the person in the garage put the wrench on the bolt and from below install the washer and self locking nut. After torqued down, cover the whole thing with more caulk so there's no chance of any water intrusion. Then reinstalled the coroplast.

That will leave the mount "permanently" installed to the floor but you can remove the chock with one wing bolt and the mounting plate is about 1/2" high. Minor "trip hazard". I so far am just leaving the chock installed and don't use the garage as a patio or play room.

EDIT adding: Keystone or the dealer will tell you anything and everything will void the warranty. My install is far more waterproof than the original construction so I'm not worried that will cause any issues. YMMV.

We don’t have a toy hauler, but we use the Condor on our flatbed when we haul our CVO Ultra Limited (1,000 lbs. +/-). It is stable and I trust our bike to be safe.

Any should work fine. In fact, I have a cheap Harbor Freight one that I use in mine. I dont install it to the floor. Shouldnt have to if the bike is tied down correctly. Just make sure you have at least two straps forward, and at least two aft. If done properly this way, the bike wont shift at all...even without a nose tire chock at all. I like the chock so I can leave it in the chock without a stand while stationary.

I have Montana 381TH. It has mini garage just room for the bike. I have a 2019 Harley limited full dresser. I went to harbor freight and use their wheel chock. It works perfect and I screwed it to floor with 1” lag screws. Haul bike from pa to Texas and back flawlessly

I use the Condor as well....best one out there without a doubt. Expensive? Yes! But definitely worth it. It comes with a bracket that mounts to the floor. So it’s a quick connect and disconnect set up. I tapped holes in the floor to mount it. You do not need to mount the bracket, but I chose to.

See pic.

I haul my 2011 Limited on an "LA Chock" only. It only holds the front wheel and is built for a full size touring bike. Place the bike in the chock, leave the M/C in first gear, and strap 4 points to keep it from moving around. IMHO. Enjoy!!
