What is this?

Can anyone tell me what this connector might be for? It's located on the frame in the front of my trailer. It has a weatherproof cap that fits over it.

That’s for a portable solar panel. Probably wired directly to the battery, easy to check with a Volt meter.

If you decide you want to use a portable solar charger, check that plug for polarity and to make sure it’s hooked up. There are several different brands and not all plugs are wired the same.
