You should be able to tell the bodies and interior are the same. Spec sheet will show you the same axles, ratios, same rear ends. Same brakes, same drivelines. Look at the frames there the same. Count the springs and check the tires, that is the difference. Besides the yellow payload sticker. Last time I doubled checked all that was in 2006 before, 2001 before that 1995?. I admit some other changes could have been made since.
Do you happen to have a website that can show that the Ford part # for the rear axle and the transaxle on my 2016 F-250 are the same part #s for the 2016 F-350? I’ll have to assume its the same frame.

Itat, I'm curios if you need this info for a particular reason, or just "inquiring minds want to know." You might also keep in mind that a transaxle isn't used in an F-250.

This is spec information that Ford supplies. Not sure about Chevy or Ram but they should be able to provide a website also.

Do your own research, I posted what I know to be true. They do not have transaxles. Call a Ford service dept. and ask them.

Just an inquiring mind thing. Sorry for the incorrect term. I should have said “differential”. I’m obviously no mechanic.

I’m not trying to offend but I am challenging those making the claim to provide proof before I accept it as fact.

I’m not going to take up the dealer partscounter person’s time to research it. Someone claiming its true should be able to provide at least a link to a website where I can quickly verify the part numbers are the same. It may well be true but I’m just asking those making the claim to do the work to provide the proof to me and themselves. Opinion and “understanding” are not necessarily fact.

Really no one can offend me after 35 years in police work. You want the facts and I told you, I am not going to spend my time doing what you want answered. If I do not believe something said I do not trust the web or even most friends. I do the work. Say talking to the RV service manager, Ford parts guys, service manager etc, these things are also on the ford trucks forum. I too believe in trust but, verify.
The information I read from the spec data or build sheet was or is located normally on the last page of the data folders. So no hate or disrespect from me, we can always agree or disagree.

Actually there may be more to learn if posters disagree on occasion.
And Ken? You mean all wasn’t smooth sailing for all that 35 years?

The only thing about the FORD F350 that you've missed is the spring block... it is approximately 4" thick while the F250 block is 2" thick...

Also... in '17 or '18 they are now a different truck...

Kind of like Dodge did with the Ram... Regular Duty and Heavy Duty..

Javi. I realized that after I hit sent and thought against mentioning the spring blocks, not sure many know what those are. But, thanks for including the information.

The spring blocks are Ford's way of managing rear spring sag. SRW F350s have 4" where Dualies have 2". Some owners have installed larger blocks to help with that sag. Does not increase load capacity.
