LED light strip on Solera power awning

Both of my awnings came from the factory with an LED light strip in the molding on the side wall controlled from separate switches inside the trailer. On one of them I just noticed that three of the LEDs right in the middle of the strip are not working. The trailer itself is out of warranty now but I'm going to contact Solera to see what their warranty will do for me.

Has anyone else had to replace the light strip in these awnings? I'm wondering how much work that is or if the warranty would cover a repair at the dealer.

If the LEDs are in a plastic channel, the channel is held in place by the awning bead. We have had success changing them, but I can’t recall right now if we replace just the LED strip or the whole assembly, I want to say we do the whole thing. It’s not difficult because we routinely beat the flat rate time.

If you read other post on this forum along with the forums of any brand of rv, youll find that it's the same with all LEDs inside or out , so you may want to buy a few spares.

I had mine done under warranty in my 2016 330rbk. cougar upgraded the light strip its self as apparently they were having issues with the original one so it took a bit to get it.
